A note from the committee

Welcome to the first issue of the Tools For Foresters newsletter! We are very excited to launch this new platform for sharing news related to the technologies that are helping us to change the way we manage our forests. In this issue we have a few different stories from our committee members to show you what we have been up to recently, some updates on recent research that could help foresters to collect more data over (and under!) our forests, a new aviation safety application that is being trialled by progressive members of the forestry community, and a little glimpse at what could be flying over our forests in the years to come! We are also very proud to release the Tools For Foresters forum in this issue, something that has been in pipeline for a few years now, so please read on and enjoy all these latest developments!
